Daily and weekly reports
There are two kinds of report. A daily report reads one calendar day in 5-minute detail and compares it with the 7 days before. A weekly report reads seven days of daily values and compares them with the 4 weeks before and with your targets. Every report is about one crop.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”You choose the kind when you create a schedule (Daily or Weekly) or when you ask for a report in chat. No other length exists.
| Daily report | Weekly report | |
|---|---|---|
| Covers | One calendar day, 00:00 to 23:59 | Seven days: the last day and the six days before it |
| Reads | 5-minute values of that day, plus the day, night and 24-hour values of that day and the 7 days before | 24-hour (daily) values only |
| Compares with | The previous 7 days | The previous 4 weeks, and your targets |
| Also reads | Nothing extra | Target values, NovaCropControl, crop quality and crop registration modules |
| A point shows | The hours of the day it applies to | No hours |
A scheduled report, and a report you start with Run now, is about yesterday. A weekly one covers the seven days up to and including yesterday. That is a rolling window, not the calendar week: a weekly schedule that runs on Monday covers Monday to Sunday of the week before.
The header of a report shows the period it analyses. A daily report shows the date with the hours 00:00 to 23:59. A weekly report shows a week number, such as “Week 37, 2026”, with the first and the last day of the period. The week number is the one of the first day.
Something that was the same on all 7 previous days, in size and duration, is not reported in a daily report. A weekly report leaves out what was the same in all 4 previous weeks. Both reports also compare the outside temperature and the radiation sum of the period with the long-term average for the time of year, when your weather module delivers those averages. What the report does with all this is in What’s in a report.
A report is stored when it is made and does not change afterwards.
One crop per report
Section titled “One crop per report”A report is about one crop: one crop group and one crop in it. A schedule always names its crop. For a second crop, make a second schedule.
The report keeps the crop’s cycle start, cycle end and area as they were when it ran. You see them in the card Crop information, as Cycle start, Cycle end and Crop area. A later change to the crop does not change the report.
Important concepts
Section titled “Important concepts”- Report period: the calendar day or the seven days a report analyses. It is what the header shows.
- Baseline: the period a report compares with. 7 days for a daily report, 4 weeks for a weekly report.
Limitations
Section titled “Limitations”- A weekly report does not tell you at what hour something started. It reads daily values only.
- A report does not compare crops.
